Originally from Hackney, Lukman Oduniake, better known as Not3s, has rapidly risen to pop star status over the past two years. His debut single, Addison Lee, was a cult smash at the start of 2017 - its signature lyric about hailing a cab for a “peng ting called Madison” was even tweeted by Louis Theroux. But the Hackney-born rapper is more than a one-hit wonder, thanks to an agenda-setting mix of afro, bashment, dancehall, and hip-hop… and everything in between.
Not3s went on to release two tracks with Mabel, My Lover and Fine Line, which peaked at 14 and 11 in the UK charts respectively - an incredible achievement for an 18 year old. Alongside his success in the music world, his commercial footprint began to grow considerably; an ambassadorial role with Lynx, a Nike and an Adidas kit launch and a sold out merchandise range on the back of his last tour in 2018 cemented his position as a young pioneer in his industry. With an album release scheduled for late 2019 and a European tour kicking off in March, Not3s route to stardom is only just beginning.
Aside from Not3s’ musical career, he is a competent actor, making his debut in the critically acclaimed crime series, Shiro’s Story, in 2018. He is also signed to Storm Model Management, and is passionate about his charity work, which includes free shows in partnership with Hackney Council in the borough and plans to start his own music mentoring scheme for the next generation of kids looking to make a breakthrough into the industry.
